Uniswap is the world’s largest decentralized trading protocol, powering over 25 million wallets and $2.55T in lifetime volume since its launch in 2018. Established in 2022, the Uniswap Foundation drives its growth and decentralization with a vision to make it the global infrastructure for digital value transfer.
Challenge
Uniswap Foundation, the core entity driving the growth and decentralization of the world’s largest decentralized trading protocol, needed a website that clearly articulated its mission and role within the ecosystem. The goal was to create a resource hub that invited exploration, provided clarity for diverse audiences, and inspired deeper engagement with the organization. The design needed to balance the needs of crypto-native users with an approachable experience for newcomers, living in a “Web 2.5” space that bridged both worlds.
Approach
As a digital designer, I helped craft a content strategy to guide information architecture and prioritize discoverability. I designed a robust component system that expanded on the visual language of adjacent Uniswap entities while giving the Foundation a distinct identity. The visual design focused on taming content density, creating clear entry points for different types of users, and delivering an experience that felt both sophisticated and inviting.
